Position Details:
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
Shift: Night (7:45 PM - 6:45 AM), every other weekend, two major and two minor holidays
Start Date: January 6, 2025
This role is vital in ensuring seamless patient care delivery, supporting a multidisciplinary team within the framework of Wellstar’s Professional Practice Model. As a Float Pool RN, you will exemplify nursing excellence, uphold regulatory standards, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Your expertise will impact patients’ lives across various units, making each shift meaningful.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize evidence-based nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver personalized care.
Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care sensitive to cultural, age, and disease-specific needs.
Partner with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and engaging them in the care planning process.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, maintain timely documentation, and foster an inclusive, respectful clinical environment.
Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance initiatives.
Mentor and serve as a preceptor for new staff and nursing students, fostering workforce development.
Advocate for adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, including TJC patient safety goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Instructor preferred)
Additional certifications such as ACLS and NIHSS upon hire
Up to one year of clinical nursing experience or completion of accredited nursing program
Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills
Ability to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies professionally
Technological proficiency supporting clinical care
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in diverse units or specialty areas
Prior experience in patient education and relationship-based care
Knowledge of performance improvement and research processes
Other Requirements:
Must possess and maintain all required certifications upon hire
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Willingness to support hospital protocols and participate in protocol development initiatives
