Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician – Flexible Part-Time Call Coverage
Join a dedicated community hospital team providing essential women's health services in a supportive and low-volume setting. We are seeking a committed Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to offer Friday to Monday call coverage approximately 1-2 times per month. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a warm, patient-focused environment.
This position is ideal for physicians seeking a manageable call schedule within a collaborative hospital setting. You will provide coverage for routine obstetric deliveries and gynecological care, ensuring quality services for your patients while enjoying the tranquil surroundings approximately 30 minutes north of Madison, WI, and near the scenic Wisconsin Dells area.
Required Skills:
Valid medical license and board certification/eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Proven experience in managing obstetric and gynecological cases
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the healthcare team
Flexibility for scheduled call coverage during weekends
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in low-volume obstetric practices
Knowledge of rural or community hospital procedures
Ability to provide anesthesia-related services, if qualified
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO)
Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Previous experience in a community hospital setting preferred but not required
At least 2 years of clinical practice in obstetrics/gynecology
Other Requirements:
Willingness to participate in weekend coverage on Fridays through Mondays, approximately 1-2 times per month
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
Must adhere to hospital policies and maintain credentials in good standing
