VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Hospitalist.

Description: 1 Internal Medicine physician needed for a geriatric outpatient continuity care at a senior care center in northern Cali south of the Bay Area. This clinic exclusively serves patients 60 and is part of an integrated FQHC system committed to optimizing senior care.
Location: San Mateo Medical Center – Ron Robinson Senior Care Center in San Mateo CA
Start Date: late December/early January
Schedule: 4- 5 days per week 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract Length: 3 months with an option to extend
Patient Volume: ~14 per day.
Patient Population: 100 Medical/Medicaid combined population. High need/high complexity. Complex language/many languages- diverse population. Lots of support staff that other FQHCs RNs other clinicians. Many of them are in their 80s/90s. Geriatrics needs to be a focus/serious interest. They are a public health FQHC facility. This is not a teaching facility. Please confirm they are okay with this setting and this patient population before submitting.
Requirements: BC/BE in Internal Medicine Geriatric Board a plus but not required. 2 years recent exp. Epic experience fast charting skills.
Will they take Family Practice BC in place of Internal Medicine? Yes will take Family Practice for the right provider
Emergency privileges? Yes they can do emergency privs
Board Eligible Okay? Will consider Board Eligible depends on the candidate. Doesn’t want ‘someone out of practice’ who is board eligible.
Interview process: Will be a Zoom Interview with the Medical Directors. One interview.

1099 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request)
